Privacy Policy
The short version
Privacy is a core feature, not an afterthought. In the default Local (Private) mode your image never leaves your device — all processing happens in your browser. In Cloud (HD) mode your image is sent to an edge server, processed, and deleted within seconds; it is never stored, reviewed, or used to train anything.
Data sources: what we process and where it comes from
Only three kinds of data are involved when you use removebg.best, and each has a different source:
1. Your images — provided by you when you upload, paste or drop a file. In Local (Private) mode they never leave your device and are processed entirely by your browser. In Cloud (HD) mode they travel over an encrypted connection to our processing endpoint, are converted into a transparent PNG, and the input is deleted within seconds. 2. Technical data — collected automatically as you browse: basic server logs (IP address, user agent) used only for abuse prevention and rate limiting, and cookieless aggregate analytics used for traffic statistics. This data is never linked to the images you process. 3. Advertising data — on pages that show ads, Google AdSense (our advertising partner) may set cookies on your device and use them to track your browsing across this and other websites in order to personalise ads. How image processing works
Local mode loads an open background-removal model into your browser and runs inference entirely on your own hardware. Nothing is transmitted. Cloud mode posts the file to our processing endpoint (hosted on Cloudflare’s network), which returns a transparent PNG and discards the input immediately. We do not keep a copy of either your input or your output.
Information we collect
We collect only minimal, privacy-friendly analytics — aggregate page views and rough country/device breakdowns via cookieless web analytics, plus basic server logs (IP, user agent) used solely for abuse prevention and rate limiting. We do not sell personal data, and we do not require you to create an account or give us an email to use the tool. Site traffic is also measured with Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies for that purpose. If you voluntarily subscribe to site updates, we store your email address solely to deliver them — and delete it on request.
Cookies and advertising
Some pages may display advertising provided by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to removebg.best and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings (https://www.google.com/settings/ads). You can also opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalised advertising at http://www.aboutads.info. You can manage cookies in your browser settings; blocking them will not stop the tool from working.
Third-party services
To run the site we rely on Cloudflare (hosting, CDN and, in cloud mode, image segmentation) and a public CDN for the client-side model files. These providers process limited technical data (such as request metadata) under their own terms and privacy policies.
Data-source and accuracy note
Platform image-size guidelines (Amazon, Etsy, Shopify, eBay) and ID-photo background rules are provided for convenience based on each platform’s public documentation. Specifications can change at any time; always confirm the latest official requirements before publishing. removebg.best is not affiliated with any of these platforms.
Your rights and children
Because the tool does not require an account and stores no images, there is usually no personal file we can retrieve or delete for you. If you have a privacy question or an erasure request about any data we do hold, email service@removebg.best. The service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
